Final day of the workshop. I think my favorite page in the workbook/manual is p. 192. That’s the 33 question quiz. Once the answers are filled in, it’s a quick and simple reference.

With new instruction yesterday, we participants in the Summercore 2008 class should each be able to create a project that might at best be useful and at worse be amusing. I’m anxious to try my idea. I’ll aim for useful, but will be satisfied with amusing.

The workshop continues to be intense. Getting help from the facilitators, other participants, and the high school students assigned to work with us. Interesting material about plagiarism and copying. Of most help yesterday….video conferencing session and excel instruction.

Learning to get started each time is the first task. From one session to the next session, many details get lost in the memory banks. However, it is Tuesday and with some help I seem to be able to add a new posting. This is also my assignment, or one third of my assignment, from yesterday. Homework completed.

This is the first blog entry on this site. The Summer Core 2008 workshop encourages teachers to establish a blog to promote interactive learning. I am going to add a YouTube feature to this for the sake of learning to do one more level of interaction. The YouTube video I chose was called Medieval Helpdesk. Due to a lockput feature on this computer station, it would not open on this blog site. It’s funny though. Check it out.
